2022年5月、「土の知らせ Voice of the Soil」を運んだ彫刻家・竹内孝和。DiEGOでは約3年半ぶりの個展を開催いたします。
竹内孝和は、太古の人々の感覚や生を想起しながら、土やコンクリートを素材に、人間と自然、文明の関係を探求し、
すべての存在にいのちが宿るという「山川草木悉皆成仏」の思想を背景に、共に生きる世界をレリーフや立体作品によって提示します。
本展では、太古と現代を行き来するように制作された作品を通して、失いつつある自然とのつながり、共に在ることの意味を静かに問いかけます。

Takakazu Takeuchi explores the relationship between humans, nature, and civilization, evoking the sensibility and life of ancient people.
Inspired by the Buddhist idea that all things—mountains, rivers, grasses, and trees—possess life (Sansensōmoku Shikkai Jōbutsu), his reliefs and sculptures present a world in which all beings coexist as part of a shared vitality.
Through works that move between the ancient and the contemporary, the exhibition quietly invites us to reflect on our fading connection with nature and on the meaning of living together in the present world.
