However, it carries perhaps the most explicit and powerful message in Yusuke Aonuma’s career, serving as a poignant commentary on current global affairs. The human elbow contains very few pain receptors. The artist poses a fundamental question: "Just because it doesn't hurt, does it mean it's okay to pinch it? If you don't feel the pain yourself, is any action permissible?" While much of the world turns a blind eye to distant conflicts and injustices—shielded by a lack of personal pain—Aonuma uses a lighthearted aesthetic to deliver a sharp critique of our collective apathy.
